It’s whatever you want it to be!
To “retreat’ is to experience some time out for yourself, rest, replenishment, plenty of good healthy food, focus on your wellbeing and time to reflect as you withdraw from the day to day. ‘Wild’ can be anything from running round the woods howling to sublime moments of quiet beauty in nature, to the nourishing support of sisterhood. Essentially its about being in touch with your natural, instinctive self in a beautiful, natural environment.
YOU are a Wild Woman, if you're ready to step into it. It doesn't require any training, or certification, only an open heart and a desire to live an authentic life.
We like to preserve a little mystery. Each day can be different, but here’s a taster:
Absolutely not! You can chose to do everything or dip in and out. Nothing is compulsory or expected!
We invite you to experience living in community by helping with some simple tasks like washing up, vegetable prep and keeping our space clean, tidy and beautiful.
This is open space in the day for you to enjoy time to yourself, or doing pop up activities which women may wish to share – on previous retreats we have had offerings of mini workshops, photoshoots, readings, massage, therapies and henna.
When you book, we ask you to put aside the time to experience the whole Retreat, from Welcome to Closing. Not only is this beneficial to you, it also maintains a safe, nurturing space for everyone and enables us to take you on a 'journey' throughout the Retreat. Obviously, we recognise that you may need to leave for emergencies or illness!
Some of our events are non-residential, giving you the freedom to choose where you stay. With our residential retreat, our venue hire and pricing is based on participants staying at the venue, and we believe that this is really important in your ability to retreat fully. It also helps to build a safe environment for everyone.
If your van is no larger than a VW camper we may be able to fit you in! Email us and ask about availability!
Again, this is completely up to you! We find that making something personal or indeed communal can bring profound peace through mindful intent.
Some women come alone, some come with friends, some come back with more friends, we all make friends! If it’s your first time with us, we will offer to put you in touch with someone who has been before.
Whilst we have a spiritual approach we do not ascribe to a particular spiritual path and welcome women of all faiths or none at all. Do expect ceremony, meditation, mindfulness and oracle cards!
Of course! On a residential retreat, you can bring a tent, or book a private room. There are also options to sleep communally and just take time out for yourself outdoors, or in the wonderful spaces we create for you to relax in, both indoors and out. We have considered neurodiverse needs in the way we organise our spaces, but are always on hand if you need directing to a quiet spot.
Absolutely yes! Our wonderful caterer is adept at providing amazing food which covers all dietary requirements. There is plenty to eat, but if you need extra snacks you may need to bring them along.
There are plenty of shared bathrooms throughout the accommodation on our residential retreats, these will be shared by campers too and if you are camping there are compost loos. Of course, if you have booked an ensuite you get a bathroom to yourself.
Inclusivity is really important to us and we offer a discounted rate for our Summer Retreat and Summer Village tickets, as well as some of our shorter events. Our Bursary Fund is supported through donations and fundraising events. For more information, please check out the Bursary Fund page.
Our Glastonbury based one day retreat is specifically planned to raise money for our Bursary fund but of course you can apply for a Bursary funded ticket.
Any age from 18 upwards! What is wonderful about our events is the mix of women of all ages and everyone comments on what an enriching experience this is.
There is never any compulsory activity at any of our events. If you have mobility or any other access needs, please send us a message and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.
Our residential retreat offers limited disabled accommodation.
Our non-residential retreat hall is fully equipped with disabled access and toilets.
Our one day retreat is held at the Assembly rooms in Glastonbury, there is disabled access but unfortunately the toilets are downstairs.
We will send you a Welcome Letter with a suggested packing list about a month before the Retreat.
You can pay by instalments if you chose to, provided your balance is settled by the given due date. We haven’t got an official instalment plan at the moment. Please contact us to discuss payment options.
